Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (“FinCEN”) has indicated that an interim final rule will be issued by Friday March 21, 2025. FinCEN has additionally suspended fines and penalties until Friday March 21, 2025, for Businesses that have not timely filed. Our current recommendation is that businesses wait until a final interim rule is issued by FinCEN on March 21, 2025. With recent court rulings and the uncertainty of FinCEN’s position, some businesses may prefer to file now to take advantage of the suspension of fines and penalties by file now.
